It arises out of the need to provide controlled and safe nutrition that complies with European Union organic production standards. Apipasta® plus feed paste serves as a pollen substitute* (not a supplement) and contains all essential macronutrients to support proper bee development (*according to the amino acid profile by de Groot). APIINVERT® thus does not contain sugars that are intestine-distressing. The high proportion of fructose keeps the tendency to crystallize in the honeycomb low even at low temperatures – starvation of the bees on a full honeycomb can thus be almost completely ruled out.
