Product information

Brood frame trap for bio-technical varroa control. Made for effective varroa treatment and improved comb hygiene in the bee colony. The self-supporting housing is simply hung into the hive body and features an acid-resistant plastic queen excluder grid. By confining the queen to two frames, old comb replacement in the brood chamber is made significantly easier. After the brood has emerged, the brood-free combs can be conveniently replaced with foundation sheets. The queen can remain inside the confinement cage throughout the entire brood cycle.
1. Confine the queen on an empty comb and place in the trap with a second one.
2. After 7 days, remove the frames and substitute them with the queen trapped again.
3. After 18 days, both frames will be full of sealed brood and, hopefully, full of varroa mites trapped with the only brood available to them.
4. Remove both frames and destroy.

Ideal for use after the honey harvest – recommended from mid-July to mid-August.Product
